It's hard to put into words how wonderful it is to work with Chelsea, to have my visions brought to life, and have lasting visual memories I can return to for years to come. Chelsea attracted my attention as a photographer due to her ability to capture the ocean the way I see too see it ~ as pure magic. I started looking through her other photos and noticed her skills don't end with landscapes, but absolutely extend to humans (individual, families, animals too!). Anyone can take a picture, especially in this age where most everyone has a smart phone advertised to give you "high quality" photos. Not everyone can capture the emotion of a moment using both *quality* tools and knowledge that comes from having honed your craft. Chelsea creates emotive photography for her clients because she cares so deeply and genuinely for people, for her work, and for enjoying + experiencing all life has to offer. I have now had the pleasure of working with Chelsea since 2020, first requesting a family shoot for me and my dogs (photos which are framed in my home and, as any dog mom can attest, bring me the most joy), to including my boyfriend-now-husband in our annual family photos, to an at-home engagement shoot and intimate wedding, and most recently our annual family photos with the fun addition of my baby bump. It makes sense that the more time you spend with a photographer, the easier it is as the subject to feel comfortable in front of the camera. That being said, Chelsea felt like an old friend the very first time we met in person and I could not recommend her more highly.

Chelsea is beyond amazing! I cannot say enough good things. From the moment I first contacted her, she was so sweet and easy to work with, and made our engagement shoot and wedding incredibly easy! She has a magnetic personality and kept us smiling and laughing from beginning to end. Her eye for detail is incredible and the photos we received back were far beyond our expectations. Needless to say, we are OBSESSED with the photo turnout and we highly recommend Chelsea.

Book a Salt shoot with Chelsea it will change your life! I worked with Chelsea at such a low point self esteem wise, a time full of loss and changes. The Salt shoot was my baptism, a rebirth so to speak. She made me feel comfortable and confident in front of the lens.  Most importantly she captured the beauty of the moment, and within myself. Chelsea is always professional! I look back at these photos with such adoration. I had fun and look forward to working with Chelsea on future projects! So much love for her as an artist and human!

There aren’t enough words to say everything I want to say about Chelsea. We initially found Chelsea almost two years before our June 2024 wedding. I had curated a selection of dozens of photographers in our area and my wife, who had worked in film, was charged with selecting a short list of people whose style matched our vision. Ultimately, Chelsea came out far ahead of any others. After speaking with her on the phone, we were comforted by her honesty, excitement, and passion for her work. As we neared our date, Chelsea was kind enough to accommodate a last-minute engagement shoot for us on a cold day in Newport, RI. Chelsea made us feel so at ease and, though neither my wife nor I had previously enjoyed having our pictures taken, our photoshoot with Chelsea was FUN! When we got our pictures back, I was simply awed: the essence of who we were was so well-captured, and it was clear that Chelsea had taken the time to capture us in ways that were genuine and attentive to who we are. I in no way felt like I was being posed the same way anyone other couple was posed; nothing felt staged or fake. Additionally, since we are a lesbian couple, I was so excited by how creative Chelsea was. There was no “man pose” in our two-bride portraits. Leading up to our wedding, we were nervous about many things, but Chelsea was not on that list. We had the utmost faith in her, and she simply blew us away. Her calm and friendly demeanor put us each at ease, and I loved the moments that I caught her smile and knew she had just gotten a great photo. Our other guests and vendors even mentioned specifically how lovely and easy-to-work-with she was! My wife says that you can tell a great event photographer by how often they’re noticed; Chelsea was nearly invisible during the day, capturing our moments and memories without interfering with the flow of our event. The day after our wedding, we already had previews waiting for us. I should have expected to be blown away, but nothing could have prepared me for the photos we were sent. They capture such a wide range of emotion and feeling from our day – calm images of our dresses hanging; sweet moments from getting ready; joy as my wife and I entered our reception. Chelsea somehow magically amplifies the emotion of a moment through her artistic choices even more than what comes from the subjects themselves. She has an incredible eye, beautiful framing, and a true vision for what she does.

I’ve known Chelsea for a while now, so I knew I wanted her to capture our special day, and man did she ever! She was amazing from start to finish! The photographs she took are like NO other! We LOVE them so, so much! She is one of the most talented photographers I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. I highly recommend choosing her for the best day of your life! A dream come true!

Working with Chelsea was a fantastic decision and my family and I absolutely loved all our photos. What's so special about her is not just her work, it's how comfortable and at ease she made us feel. Her warm, calm presence and patience were incredibly helpful on the day of our session - but even prior to that, she was professional and flexible through all communications leading up to the day. There are not enough words to describe how incredible Chelsea is. She captures the most beautiful, intimate, glimmering moments. I’ve said this to her and I mean it wholeheartedly - I wish that every person in my life would have their special moments photographed by Chelsea. You just know you are going to get photos that surpass all expectations. I’ve recommended her to several friends and family members who’ve done sessions with her and feel the exact same way. I truly can’t recommend her enough! She is the only option in my opinion. Plus, she’s a lovely, kind human who truly cares about her clients. 10/10, 5 stars, amazing!
